Fried Fish and Lotus Root with Basil Sauce



Ingredients

1kg fish fillet, cubed

250 gms lotus root, washed, peeled and sliced

Corn flour, for dusting

6cloves garlic, chopped

1’’ ginger, chopped

3 green chilies

10 gms each, chopped Thai celery and spring onion

Basil leaves and green paper corns

Few 100 ml coconut milk 

Salt and pepper to taste oil, for frying



Methods
Fried Fish and Lotus Root with Basil Sauce

Smear salt and pepper over fish and dust it with flour

Deep-fry in hot oil and set aside

Do the same for lotus root

To prepare basil sauce, heat oil in a pan

And ginger garlic green chilies and celery and sauté for a while

Add green pepper corn and basils leaves

And sauté for a few minutes and stirring with coconut milk

Add fish and lotus root to the sauce and mix well

Garnish with spring onion
